Chinese language class
The Confucius Institute at University of Hawai‘i at Manoa (CI-UHM) will be offering classes in Chinese language to members of the University and local community.
Spring 2012 Mandarin Chinese Language Classes-(Adults)
All classes will focus on listening and speaking, and will be taught through Pinyin.
Level I: Jan. 21 – Mar. 24 , 2012 (on Saturdays); 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Location: The Moore Hall 102 (UH Manoa campus)
Textbook: Great Wall Chinese 1
Instructor: Ning Shu
Level II: Jan. 21 – Mar. 24 , 2012 (on Saturdays); 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Location: The Moore Hall 102 (UH Manoa campus)
Textbook: Great Wall Chinese 2 (This is temporary, we need to decided by the levels of the students)

Level III: Jan. 21 – Mar. 24 , 2012 (on Saturdays); 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm

Textbook: Great Wall Chinese 4( This is temporary, we need to decided by the levels of the students)

Dates: Jan. 21 – Mar. 24 , 2012 (on Saturdays);
10:00 am – 11:30 am（with no class break）

Textbook: Chinese Paradise

Cost Per Course: $150 (tuition only)
Spring 2012 Business Chinese Language Classes-(Business Focused)
Target learner: members of the University and local communities who have some basic knowledge of Chinese language and can communicate using simple Chinese sentences in daily life situations.
Dates: Jan. 21 – Mar. 24 , 2012 (on Saturdays); 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: The Moore Hall 102 (UH Manoa campus)
Textbook: Advanced Business Chinese
Instructor: Ning Shu
Cost Per Course: $150 (tuition only)
Please note:
- A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required to offer a course.
- Cost per course is tuition only. Needed textbook(s) and teaching materials will be an additional $20, available for purchase from your instructor on the first day of classes.
- No refund after second week of class.
- Applicable parking cost on UH Manoa campus: $5/entry
