The Confucius Institute at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (CI-UHM) and the General Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles (LA General Consulate) co-hosted a book show on Chinese language and culture at the Neal Blaisdell Center Exhibition Hall in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 30 and 31, 2010. More than 1,000 books and audio-video materials on Chinese language teaching and learning as well as Chinese culture were displayed at the exhibition. Mr. Chen Zhunmin, Consul and Head of Education Office, and Mr. Wang Yi, Vice Consul for Education of LA General Consulate flew to Honolulu to attend the book show, bringing more than 10 Chinese movie DVDs for the exhibition.
